Classes & Interest Groups

St. Matthew offers a wide variety of adult Bible studies and groups, for all stages and people in our spiritual walks. We seek to grow in knowledge of God’s word, in community with one another, and in application of faith to our daily lives.

Exploring Groups are offered on Sunday Nights for those who desire to discuss their questions, voice their skepticism, or seek after truth along with others. Connecting seminars are also available to help people take a step toward finding meaningful relationships and fulfilling service opportunities.

On Sundays and throughout the week, we've got in-depth Bible studies, parenting and marriage classes, studies for men, women, Primetimers, even classes and groups for Internationals (in easy English). Our home ChristCare groups also offer opportunities to study together.

ChristCare Small Groups

Through small groups we are encouraged, supported, and instructed — just as Jesus' own small group of disciples were — as we seek to grow as followers of Jesus. For those who are still questioning whether or not to follow Jesus, small groups are the perfect place to try it out, ask questions, and receive prayer. Spiritual growth happens best in the intimate context of a small group, where we can connect with one another and build relationships through the Holy Spirit in prayer, Bible study, fellowship, and service.

Small groups at St. Matthew are designed to incorporate everyone into a “Caring Community”. Small Groups come in a variety of formats. While the majority of the groups meet in homes, there are also some who meet at the church. Groups are located in various communities surrounding and including the Walled Lake and Wixom communities.
