A Memorable Moment

One of St. Matthew's core values is this: God has called St. Matthew to partner with Him in passing on the passion for Jesus to the next generation. That core value is lived out in a variety of ways including Nursery, Children's Messages, Children's Church, Kids Praise, Family Room, Connex Zone, Hearts and Hands Child Development Center, School ministry, Middle School Ministry, Senior High Ministry, and Family Ministry.

But on July 13 there is another memorable moment of passing on the passion for Jesus to the next generation. One of our school students has completed seminary training; and will be ordained into the Pastoral Ministry. On August 13 he will be installed as pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin, Ohio. [But don't expect him to become a Buckeye fan.]

Congratulations Pastor Joshua Moldenhauer! And praise God for using St. Matthew for his spiritual formation!

Congratulations Josh! We're all proud of you and thanking God for His work in your life!

I'm sure Josh's spiritual development benefitted greatly from most of the ministries listed here, but there's one missing from the list - and probably the most important.

Congratulations to Josh's parents for being God's hands, heart, and voice in His life as you trained Josh up in partnership with Him.

Congratulations to Josh's parents too. Well done!
