Biography:
Storefront windows let you peak into a shop to see what is inside. Well, if you’re interested, let me give you a peak into what’s inside me. What you’ll see is that Jesus is my greatest treasure. What He has done for me is way more than I’ll ever deserve; and way more than I can ever repay. So, I value Jesus more than anything. He’s so good that I long to be a “man after God’s own heart.” Because of that, I also desire to be a “God-run” person who increasingly lives the better, adventure-filled life shared in His book, the Bible. Finally, my life prayer is that would use me however He desires so that as many people as possible might receive this treasure of Jesus. That’s what’s inside me. On the outside, there a husband of 30+ years, a father of five, a sports fan,…and a guy who gets to do what he loves: be a pastor (and they even pay me for it ☺).

Biography:
About me? I'm a pastor here at St. Matthew. But my passion is for knowing God more and more and becoming more like his Son, Jesus. I love my wife (Jocelyn) and my two young daughters (Ellie and Aria). I have a heart for people and their faith journey. I do all I can to help people find meaningful community. I love to sing loud (generally) and to worship, whether it’s in church or in my car, or in the shower. I love watching God’s power unfold in people’s lives. And I love to laugh...maybe i laugh too much. That’s basically me (unless you want to hear all the details about where I went to college and seminary, but who wants to know that stuff anyway?) Maybe you're refreshed; maybe you think I sound a little wacky... either way it doesn't matter. A man much wiser and nobler than I'll ever be once said "Jesus must become greater, I must become less." That's how I try to live my life, that's how a lot of us try to live here at St. Matthew. If you have even the slightest desire to find out more about being loved and transformed by the God of All Things then please come and journey with us.
